Public shelters?
To the editor:
In light of the recent storm damage and poor alert system to the public of Lawrence, where are people who have no basements to go during a tornado? My parents live in the Brookwood Mobile Home Park where there is a small storm shelter that is not large enough to accommodate all the people that live there. I was wondering if the city has open shelters for the public and, if so, where are they?
