Helping hand
To the editor:
Once again we have evidence of what a great place Lawrence is to live. Stories abound telling of neighbors helping neighbors in the aftermath of the microburst.
University Place Neighborhood, located directly south of the campus, deserves especial praise. Neighbors who had power 18 hours before we did assisted us in many ways. They brought food and temporary heating devices. They established “telephone central” which brought speedy professional assistance. Our undying gratitude goes to everyone who helped us during this difficult time.
