Baker conflict
To the editor:
I believe it is time for Roger Boyd’s support of the 32nd Street alignment of the South Lawrence Trafficway to be put into perspective. Whether as an expert on wetlands biology and restoration or as a citizen opining about the urban planning and traffic issues, his conflict of interest must be considered.
If the project goes forward as planned then KDOT has committed over $8 million to wetlands construction and restoration, a project which will be handled by Dr. Boyd and the Baker University biology department. The conflict is clear and we need to have a clear-headed discussion of this massive project which will determine the direction and nature of development in the county.
