New subdivision rules on planning agenda
The Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission will meet tonight to consider several proposals, including new rural subdivision regulations that would replace the exemption for divisions of 5 acres or more.
The commission also will:
¢ Receive suggestions from the public for projects to be included in the 2007-2012 capital improvements plan for Lawrence.
¢ Consider an amendment to Horizon 2020 to address mixed-use development in redevelopment areas.
¢ Consider rezoning and plats for a development between Eighth and Ninth streets and New Jersey and Delaware streets.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the first floor of City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
