Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Someone stole a double-headed parking meter valued at $1,000 from the 700 block of Vermont Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday. The thief also caused $2,000 damage to a brick wall.

¢ A 22-year-old Kansas University student’s laptop computer valued at $1,400 was reported stolen between 10 p.m. Thursday and 9:05 a.m. Friday from the 1900 block of Stewart Avenue.

¢ A 21-year-old Leavenworth man reported his $1,000 Suzuki four-door stolen between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday from the 700 block of New Hampshire Street.

¢ Items valued at $1,149, including a DVD player and a laptop computer, were stolen between 10:20 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday from a residence in the 4700 block of West 27th Street.
