Piece of history

The Journal-World has a story of photographer Gordon Parks, saying that there is an exhibit at Kansas University’s Spencer Museum of Art. There also are several of Mr. Parks’ photos in the hospital of his hometown of Fort Scott. It is well worth the trip to see these.
Go into the hospital’s front door, and on each side of the hall you will find the photos. Also, look down in the area around the cafeteria. My favorite is in the south hall, with him sitting on a horse with his pipe in his mouth and wearing a rain slicker and cowboy hat. Enjoy your trip to this piece of Kansas history.
