Goal-setting planned at daylong retreat

Douglas County commissioners and county department heads will meet Monday for a daylong retreat to discuss a variety of ideas, issues and goals.

The retreat will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a meeting room at Kansas University’s Lied Center.

“It will give us a chance to communicate in a different context,” Commissioner Charles Jones said.

Commissioners meet often with some department heads during the regular commission meetings because of the nature of their jobs but infrequently with others, Commissioner Bob Johnson said.
