The Douglas County Senior Center, 745 Vt., will have its fourth annual March for Meals 5K walk Saturday.

The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at the center. It is a fundraising event for the center’s senior meals program and to heighten awareness of the need for volunteers.

Anyone can participate in the walk. If you want a T-shirt for participating, there is a $25 registration fee. Some people have already raised as much as $420 to participate in the walk, said senior meals director Kim Wittman. For more information, call 842-0543.
