A joint meeting scheduled for this morning to discuss locations for a new $76 million sewer plant has been canceled.

As commissioners were wrapping up their weekly meeting about 11 p.m. Tuesday, Highberger announced that the meeting with county commissioners and school board members was postponed.

When asked afterward, Highberger said he thought additional information needed to be gathered on possible sites before the three groups met again. He said a report from a city-appointed public advisory committee that has been studying sites might be ready in a couple weeks.
