Associate vice provost candidates to visit
Kansas University has named its two final candidates for the position of associate vice provost for student success.
Jonathan Long, vice president for student services at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, will make a presentation from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Centennial Room of the Kansas Union. Long also worked as assistant director of student housing at KU in 1990-97.
Lori Reesor, associate dean of education and assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will make a presentation from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Centennial Room. Reesor has worked as dean of students at Wichita State University and as associate director of admissions at KU.
The position has been vacant since the abrupt firing of Richard Johnson in April.
