County bridge to close for maintenance
A Douglas County bridge over the Kansas Turnpike west of Lawrence will be closed next week for maintenance.
The bridge on East 1000 Road, sometimes called Queens Road, northwest of Lawrence will be closed Monday and remain closed until 3 p.m. Friday. The bridge will undergo concrete deck patching, according to Douglas County Public Works director and engineer Keith Browning.
