Attorney general appoints new director
Atty. Gen. Phill Kline said Wednesday he has appointed Sherriene Jones as his director of communications, effective July 10.
She replaces Whitney Watson, who has worked with Kline since his first campaign for attorney general in 2002. Spokesman Jan Lunsford said Watson will remain with the agency “overseeing special projects.” He declined to elaborate.
