Lawrence resident Andy Ramirez, an attorney for Lathrop & Gage LC, is set to begin a three-year term Saturday as a member of the law firm’s executive committee.

The six-member committee – which includes managing partner and CEO Tom Stewart – develops the firm’s strategic direction and policies, oversees financial matters and department managers, and serves as a liaison to the firm’s regional offices and operating committees.

Ramirez leads the firm’s health care department. He has served as an adjunct professor of law at Kansas University, is listed in The Best Lawyers of America and is a Kansas Supreme Court appointee to the Board for Discipline of Attorneys.
