On Thursday, seven protesters were arrested after they marched into a Lawrence Army-recruiting office at 2223 La., shouted remarks against the war in Iraq and the deaths of Iraqi civilians, then linked arms and refused to leave.

Those arrested were Nigel Parks Bailey, 25, Jordan Magelaina Ferrand-Sapsis, 21, David Joseph Strano, 24, Kalila Nyla Dalton, 21, Kevin Eugene Cassaway, 26, Vanessa Brooke Hays, 24, and Graham Micheal Kenady, 19. All are from Lawrence. Each of the seven protesters was charged with obstruction of the legal process, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

The seven had all been released from jail by Friday, but no information was available Friday night concerning possible court dates.
