Seminars to review grant procedures

Kansas Non Profit Assn. will present two seminars this week in Topeka:

¢ “The Grant Writing Process,” set for Thursday, will give participants an opportunity to learn techniques to research foundations and other funding sources; review an outline of a grant proposal; review application guidelines from private and public funders; and understand the grant review process.

¢ “Writing the Proposal,” set for Friday, will afford participants the chance to learn grant-writing techniques applicable to both foundations and government agencies; understand the project implementation process; learn about preparing a project needs statement; develop a project evaluation; and understand the content of a cover letter, abstract and proposal budget.

Both seminars will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, 2033 S.W. Wanamaker. To register or for more information, including fees, contact the association at (800) 582-1428. Potential walk-ins should call for possible schedule changes and seating availability.
