Lawrence man to lead association

Patrick Lehman, Lawrence, has been named executive director of the Kansas Association of Conservation Districts, which supports the activities of conservation district offices in all 105 Kansas counties. Among the association’s priorities is educating and informing the public about best practices in the conservation of the state’s natural resources.

Upon Lehman’s hiring, the association’s headquarters has moved from Salina to Lawrence.

Lehman and his wife, Robin, are co-owners of Lehman Communications Inc., a Lawrence-based lobbying and communications consulting firm founded in 1992. Patrick Lehman will continue to lobby on behalf of clients. He is a former member of the Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals and the Kansas Water Authority, and is a former mayor of Brewster, the northwest Kansas town where he was born.
