Festival positives
To the editor:
Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of the Wakarusa Music Festival, I believe it is time to point out the positive as well:
¢ The festival generated money for Lawrence businesses, Clinton State Park and Douglas County.
¢ Events such as this create national awareness of Lawrence and what we have to offer.
¢ Entertainment-wise, there was something for everyone, including an incredible performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar” by local musicians.
I believe that Brett Mosiman and the organizers of the Wakarusa Music Festival deserve a large pat on the back for a great event. I look forward to next year!
