Wasteful cleanup
To the editor:
I agree with the letter in Monday’s paper. They do a good job in keeping Memorial Park Cemetery mowed and clean.
But, I don’t understand why they come in a week after Memorial Day and pick up all the flowers that everyone spends time and money on to make it look so pretty for our loved ones only to have the city throw them all in the trash. Plus all the taxpayers’ money. So far, the city crews have taken two days and still have two days before they strip all the flowers.
What a waste of money and time.
