Protest honks

To the editor:

Drivers using cell phones have, during the past year, caused me to swerve, stop abruptly or honk. Honking helps with those backing into me but not those coming at me.

I don’t like honking. It’s impolite and alarms and irritates those who are not at fault. Still, I think I’m going to start some vigilante honking at anyone near me who is using a cell phone while driving.

I’ll call my activity VCR (Vigilante Cell-phone Repression). Is such honking against the law? If so, stop me before I honk again.
