Housing conference to address city needs
Lawrence’s new Housing Needs Task Force will host a free conference on how to meet housing needs from noon to 4:30 p.m. June 17 at Lawrence High School.
Sessions will focus on:
¢ Housing needs of women and children
¢ Low-income renters
¢ Senior citizens
¢ Homeless
¢ People with special needs
¢ Potential first-time home buyers
Afterward, suggestions will be forwarded to the task force.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary Rod Bremby and City Commissioner Boog Highberger will address the group.
