To the editor:

Enough already. Let me preface this letter by saying I don’t know Coach Price or his family. I’m sure they are good people and the boys are excellent baseball players.

Today you wrote about how Ryne Price got his name (Ryne Sandberg). My son also takes one of his names from a baseball player. A couple of weeks ago it was Mrs. Price and her struggles with watching all the boys. I’m sure there is someone on the team whose mom chases after more than three boys going different directions. Then a few weeks before that it was Robby’s birthday.

I’m not saying these aren’t good stories because they are. Let’s remember that baseball, like most sports, is a team game. It just seems that the focus is on this family, and while they make a good story, let’s get the others involved just like you have to in a game! Good luck in the tournament Coach Price and the team!
