Sign problem

To the editor:

A conversation I heard recently at a convenience store showed a problem with some street signs that I have heard several times.

A man from out of town was asking the clerk for help in finding a location. He said he was told to go to 15th and Kasold, then west to get to a certain address. He had been up and down Kasold several times and could not find 15th Street. The clerk informed him that 15th Street is now called Bob Billings Parkway and the man was on his way.

With no disrespect to Bob Billings, why couldn’t such street signs be marked with both the person’s name AND the street number to help people find their way around?
