Attorneys share expertise, experience
Three attorneys from Stevens & Brand LLP, Lawrence, recently presented continuing legal education topics during the Kansas Bar Assn.’s annual meeting in Overland Park.
Christopher Burger presented on various strategies in connection with construction litigation with governmental bodies. Burger also was elected president of the association’s Construction Law Section.
Shannon Oury discussed employee leave issues as part of an Employment Law Section Panel.
Matthew Hoy discussed “Drafting and Using Powers of Attorney in Kansas.”
Oury and Hoy, who are frequent writers and lecturers, both had updated chapters published in the Advising the Elderly treatise by ThomsonWest.
Oury’s chapter was “Employment Discrimination.” Hoy wrote “Planning for Real Property Including the Residence.”
