Scientists discuss climate change
Find out what some scientists are saying about global climate change and what can be done to help beginning tonight on “River City Weekly.”
We’ll visit with Kansas University geography professor David Braaten and KU assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology Joy Ward.
Also appearing is Angayuqaq Oscar Kawagley, an Alaska Native Science Commission member and associate professor of education at University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
We’ll discuss greenhouse gases, polar ice sheets, major storms and what can be done to alter climate change.
Kawagley also describes what climate change has meant for native people of coastal Alaska.
