Law enforcement report
¢ Heavy rains late Tuesday caused some flooding and road closures in Douglas County. A flash flood warning was issued for the southern part of the county.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a burglary and theft at a residence in the 800 block of Maple Street. An Xbox game system, games, CDs and DVDs were taken and a door was damaged. Damage and losses were listed at $1,470. The burglary occurred Sunday. The victims are two men in their 20s.
¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence woman called police July 5 to report vandalism to her car that was parked in the 700 block of Arkansas Street. Both side windows and the rear bumper were damaged. Damage was listed at $1,000.
