Seminar to focus on foreign workers
Employers looking for the lowdown on hiring foreign workers are invited to register for a free seminar next week in Lawrence.
Michael Jaromin, district director for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Kansas City, Mo., and Jane Burbridge, manager of the Foreign Labor Certification Unit at the Kansas Department of Commerce, will present Foreign Labor Issues from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. July 20 at the Lawrence Workforce Center, 2540 Iowa St.
The seminar will address issues concerning the admission of foreign workers for temporary employment in the United States and procedures for hiring such workers.
