A portion of East 100 Road in northwestern Douglas County will be closed today to allow construction work on an Interstate 70 bridge.

The road, about a mile from the Shawnee-Douglas county line, will be closed until Thursday. The bridge passes over the road.

The bridge construction is part of the lane-widening project taking place on the I-70 Kansas Turnpike.
