A 25-year-old Lawrence man faces federal marijuana and gun charges.
Lance A. Dennis was charged in late June in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, using a gun in a drug-trafficking crime and illegally having a gun after a felony conviction, according to U.S. Atty. Eric Melgren. The alleged crimes happened Jan. 3.
In an unrelated case announced the same day by Melgren, a Tonganoxie man, Samuel L. Hall, 31, has been charged with illegally having a gun May 12 after a felony conviction.
Both cases were investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
