Alicia Janesko is joining Blue Ocean Consulting Inc., a Lawrence-based company that uses Internet-based technologies to enhance business and organizational processes.

Janesko starts July 17 as the company’s vice president for sales. She will be responsible for sales of Economic Development Project Tracker, an online database that will be sold nationwide.

Janesko comes to Blue Ocean from Rockwall Economic Development Corp. and the Buxton Co., where she worked in business development. Before that she worked in economic development at the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce; at the chamber, she worked with Blue Ocean to develop the tracker product, which allows economic developers to streamline their internal processes for maintaining, managing and reporting the successes of their projects.

Janesko earned a bachelor’s degree at Kansas University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
