? A Lawrence woman is ready to say “Aloha” after winning $10,000 in the Kansas Lottery.

Carolyn Ball, a pediatrics nurse at Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine PA, matched four numbers and the Powerball on her $2 Quick Pick ticket from Jan. 21.

“I never thought this would happen,” Ball said of her win.

Ball, along with her husband, Bill, also owns Crazy 8 Concessions. The couple have six daughters and two sons.

She and her husband had been planning a trip to Hawaii, and now will use some of the prize money for their trip.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Dillons grocery store at 1740 Mass.
