Lottery winner plans family trip to Hawaii
Topeka ? A Lawrence woman is ready to say “Aloha” after winning $10,000 in the Kansas Lottery.
Carolyn Ball, a pediatrics nurse at Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine PA, matched four numbers and the Powerball on her $2 Quick Pick ticket from Jan. 21.
“I never thought this would happen,” Ball said of her win.
Ball, along with her husband, Bill, also owns Crazy 8 Concessions. The couple have six daughters and two sons.
She and her husband had been planning a trip to Hawaii, and now will use some of the prize money for their trip.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Dillons grocery store at 1740 Mass.
