Police arrested a 30-year-old man Friday after he was stabbed once in an early-morning fight.

About 3:45 a.m. Friday, Lawrence Police were called to Boardwalk Apartments, 524 Frontier Road, and learned that six people were involved in the altercation.

The 30-year-old stab victim is suspected of battering a 21-year-old Lawrence woman who suffered minor injuries in the fight. Police also discovered that the man had outstanding warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply with a court order.

After he was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment, he was arrested on suspicion of battery and for his outstanding warrants. He was booked into the Douglas County Jail.

Police also interviewed a 19-year-old woman in connection with the stabbing, but she had not been arrested as of Friday.
