Turnpike project closes part of road
A section of East 500 Road is closed for the removal of a Kansas Turnpike bridge.
The bridge is about four miles southwest of Lecompton. The bridge is being removed as part of a turnpike lane-widening project.
A section of East 600 Road, or County Road 1029, has reopened. A turnpike bridge there was removed and rebuilt earlier.
