Dale Willey Quick Service & Tire Center has a new name: Advantage Tire & Service.

That’s the only change at the service center, which took on the new name this month at 2216 W. Sixth St. A new sign went up earlier this week.

Willey still owns the center, which he opened in 1994.

The name change is designed to help eliminate confusion about the shop’s services, said Clay Taylor, an assistant manager. The shop continues to sell tires and provides a range of services – from brake work to oil changes and other jobs – on many makes and models, not just the Pontiacs, Buicks, Cadillacs and GMCs that Willey sells at Dale Willey Automotive, 2840 Iowa.
