Social Welfare dean candidate visits KU

Mary Ellen Kondrat, the first candidate for dean of the School of Social Welfare at Kansas University, visited campus Monday.

Kondrat has been professor and dean of Louisiana State University’s School of Social Welfare since 2003. Prior to that, she served as an associate dean in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, where she was on the faculty from 1992-2003.

Kondrat received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marquette University, and received graduate and doctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
