Senior moments?

To the editor:

Harry Belafonte, a former singing sensation, now a far-left liberal, and the Rev. Pat Robertson, an extreme-right Christian conservative recently made disparaging, “over the top,” remarks in obvious attempts to promote their own political agendas.

Mr. Belafonte referred to President Bush as the “world’s great terrorist.”

The Rev. Pat Robertson, of the 700 Club, suggested that Prime Minister of Israel Ariel Sharon’s recent stroke was “divine retribution” from God for giving away “God’s land” (Israel).

While the Rev. Robertson and Mr. Belafonte enjoy freedom of speech, as do most Americans, these two high-profile seniors would be well advised to take an extra round of Geritol prior to future speaking engagements.
