National commander coming to Lawrence
The national commander of the American Legion will visit Lawrence on Thursday.
Thomas L. Bock will stop for a 6 p.m. dinner at Dorsey-Liberty American Legion Post 14, 3408 W. Sixth St. Lawrence will be one of 22 posts he will visit in Kansas over a five-day period. He also will visit Veterans Administration centers in Wichita and Topeka.
Bock, of Aurora, Colo., is a Vietnam era veteran of the Air Force. He has been a member of the Aurora legion post for 35 years.
