Low-income households are eligible for free weatherization kits and help with installation.

“We need people to apply for them,” said Ginger Wilkins, who is helping distribute the kits.

The kits include caulk, weatherstripping, plastic sheeting, and energy-efficient light bulbs.

“We’re trying to help people save on their utility bills so they’ll have more for food and so they don’t fall behind on their rent,” Wilkins said.
