Free dental examinations and X-rays will be given to children on Feb. 3 at Douglas County Dental Clinic, 316 Maine.

The free services will be for children under 18 on Give Kids a Smile Day. In order to qualify for the service, a family’s household income must be at 200 percent of federal poverty level or lower and the children cannot have dental insurance, including HealthWave or other state provided insurance.

Appointments for the free services will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments must be made by Jan. 27 by calling 312-7770. A parent or guardian must accompany the children. Spanish interpreters will be available.

The clinic is a nonprofit community clinic serving low income and uninsured residents of Douglas County.
