Authorities were responding to the report of an injury accident late this afternoon about six miles south of Lawrence at a rural intersection

About 5 p.m. today, emergency personnel were traveling out to the accident, which was reportedly at the intersection of E 1100 and N 650 roads. The location is about 1.5 miles west of the Zarco service station on U.S. Highway 59.

The most recent information is that the accident is fatal. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department remains on the scene.
