Lawrence Police said Monday that between Friday and Sunday they handled:

¢ 717 calls

¢ 79 reports

¢ three burglaries

¢ nine thefts

¢ nine non-injury accidents

¢ four injury accidents

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 52-year-old Lawrence man reported a Jeep Cherokee worth $6,200 stolen between 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday from his home in the 1300 block of Jana Drive.

¢ A 32-year-old Lawrence woman reported more than $10,000 in property, including a DVD player and a 35 mm camera, stolen between Dec. 31 and Jan. 4 from her home in the 700 block of Connecticut Street.

¢ A Chevrolet pickup truck valued at $7,000 was stolen between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Sunday from Westside 66, 2815 W. Sixth St.

Injury accident

¢ Two pedestrians were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by ambulance Friday after being struck by a car that was backing out of a driveway in the 2500 block of West 24th Terrace.

Terry Privett, 55, and Theresa Wells, 67, were walking about 9:45 a.m. when they were struck by a Subaru Outback driven by Keren D. Pomp, 40, according to a police report.

Privett remained in fair condition at the hospital Monday. Wells was treated and released.
