The Leo Center is putting together a crew to help with post-Hurricane Katrina cleanup efforts in New Orleans. Plans call for the group leaving March 18, returning March 25.

“We’ll be mudding out houses, primarily, and we’ll be removing trees that are down,” said Byron Edmondson, director of needs ministry at the Leo Center, 1 Riverfront Plaza, Suite 100.

Participants are asked to contribute $250 to offset costs.

“In the past, some churches have been willing to pay for members who are able to go,” Edmondson said.
