To the editor:

I just read the online version of your recent special of “In Cold Blood.”

I recently viewed “Capote” and had read “In Cold Blood” shortly after it was published. I decided to use the Internet to reacquaint myself with the crime and the cast of characters. My search led me to your series.

While I’m sure that it was painful for the families of the victims and all those associated with the case to have to revisit this tragedy, you are to be commended for a wonderful job of research and presentation.

I was 15 years old when the crime was committed, and the reading of the book served as my introduction to the world as it is. I’ve never forgotten what I read, as painful as it was. Nor have I ever forgotten my feelings of sorrow for all of those affected. If the family members read this, please know that you are still in my thoughts and prayers.
