Campaign managers to speak at KU
The presidential campaign managers for Sens. John Kerry and Elizabeth Dole will discuss how America will elect its first female commander-in-chief to close Kansas University’s Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics’ 2006 Presidential Lecture Series on “The First Woman President.”
Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill, who is acting executive director of the Emily’s List organization, and Tom Daffron, who led Elizabeth Dole’s brief campaign in 1999 and is chief of staff to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, will present a panel discussion, “The Path to the Presidency: How She Will Win,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the institute on KU’s campus.
