‘Flipping Good Time’ to benefit LINK

Benefit organizers hope that catching a flying pancake, listening to cowboy poetry and playing games will make for a fun time at “A Flipping Good Time Benefit.”

Members of the Douglas County Farm Bureau and the Douglas County office of K-State Research and Extension are sponsoring the benefit. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in Building 21 N at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Costs are $3 per plate for children 12 and younger and $5 per plate for anyone 13 and older.

Canned or dry good donations also will be accepted for the Lawrence Interdenominational Kitchen.

So enough pancakes will be available, those who want to attend must RSVP by today to either the farm bureau at 843-2395 or the extension office at 843-7058.
