Lawrence Republicans to attend service class

Two Lawrence women have been selected for the 2006 class of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Excellence in Public Service Series, Kansas Republican leaders announced.

Keri Kish and Liz Rogers will join 21 Kansans in the program, which aims to increase the number of Republican women serving in elected positions and on public boards.

Kish has worked as a staff attorney for Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger. In February, she will become a staff attorney for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. She graduated from Kansas University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and in 1998 from Washburn University with a law degree.

Rogers is a second-year student at Kansas University School of Law. She is a clerk for the Disciplinary Administrator’s office in Topeka. She graduated from Washburn in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is the chairwoman of the Douglas County Young Republicans.
