Distractions

To the editor:

Concerning the driver that perceives a crossing guards friendly wave as too distracting to drivers, I can’t help but feel we are looking at the wrong person: the crossing guard.

In fact driving a car is an exercise in multitasking as difficult as most people will ever experience. If this driver is distracted to the point of complaint by a friendly wave in a low speed environment, imagine what will happen at highway speeds should something unexpected occur.
