A Lawrence man died Friday afternoon after a one-vehicle accident near Perry Lake.

Travis L. Reeves, 69, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet truck north at 1:55 p.m. on Ferguson Road about eight miles north of Perry. The truck then entered the east ditch where it struck several trees, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Reeves was not wearing a seat belt, and he died at the scene. His wife, Francis, 66, wore hers, and she was not injured, the report said.
