6News, local shows available on demand

6News and other shows on Sunflower Broadband channel 6 now are available through Sunflower On Demand for no additional charge.

Each day’s 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts will be available beginning five minutes after each show. To order, viewers with a digital cable box can go to Channel 1 and choose “Local On Demand,” allowing viewers to catch up on local news, weather and sports when it suits their schedule. Also available on demand at no additional charge: “Jayni’s Kitchen,” “Home & Away,” “River City Weekly,” “1 on 1 Trivia” and “The Turnpike.”

Sunflower plans to expand on-demand offerings later this year to include High School Games of the Week, student productions from local school districts and local government meetings.
