Immediate volunteer needs
¢ Lawrence Memorial Hospital seeks volunteers to assist in a variety of hospital departments and duties.
LMH South needs reception-area volunteers to greet people coming into the facility, assist people in wheelchairs and run errands. GI Lab volunteers also are needed at LMH South to assist nurses in preparing rooms for patients, transport patients by wheelchair and help waiting families.
The main LMH site needs volunteers to assist in the surgery waiting room, acting as a liaison between waiting families and the surgery department. Help also is needed in the gift shop, assisting customers, running the cash register and organizing merchandise.
LMH volunteers must be customer service-oriented and energetic, willing to be a part of a caring team of health care providers. A three- to six-month commitment of three to four hours once a week is required.

¢ The Catholic Community Services Counseling Office in Lawrence needs a volunteer office assistant. The volunteer must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented. The volunteer will provide support for counseling staff in the late afternoons and evenings four days per week, plus other hours as needed. ¢ Community Living Opportunities seeks a volunteer to serve as a human resources office assistant. Duties include helping with filing and other paperwork or organizational projects. This ongoing volunteer position requires 10 or more hours of service each week during normal business hours. This is an excellent position for people who enjoy traditional office-related duties.
