Dynamic duo
To the editor:
I was one of about 70 people at the Dec. 15 “Twas the Night” concert who was overwhelmed by one of the best classical music performances I’ve ever heard. The problem is I should have been one of more than 350 concert-goers. The Trinity Lutheran Church should have been packed with people to listen to the Elaris Duo and Friends Concert.
I’m aware of the competition with other events and the busy holiday season, but when this group performs again, I’d suggest you drop all other plans and go listen to this incredible cello-violin duo. The two of them were joined that Friday by talented members of the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra who came up with the idea of an additional concert as a fundraiser for the orchestra three years ago.
Thankfully it is becoming a tradition like the orchestra’s Baroque by Candlelight concert in February. Don’t miss that either.

Lawrence
